Children's Center

The Children's Center at Avondale provides nurturing day-care for children aged three months up through five years old.  We also provide quality day care: The Avondale center is one of the few centers in Charlotte that has a five-star rating from the state of North Carolina.

The center also accepts enrollment for an early literacy-based transitional kindergarten program. Focus will be on phonological and ABC awareness as well as emergent reading/writing, and story-book content focused activities.

The ratio of teachers to students ranges from 3-to-1 for infants to 9-to-1 for five-year-olds. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

The center is a ministry of Avondale, with its operations overseen by a board of directors made up of parents and Avondale members.
