MInistries for youth

Avondale's youth ministry combines fellowship, study, recreation, music and service.

On most Sunday evenings at 5 p.m., members of the youth group meet at the Family Life Center.  They eat together, play together, and separate into middle-high and senior-high groups for a time of study.  

A couple of times a year, the youth participate in weekend retreats.  In the summer, youth members have the opportunity to meet other Presbyterians at retreat centers such as Massanetta Springs.

The youth also participate in a week-long mission trip in the summer.  Trips in recent years have included home-repair trips to Kentucky and West Virginia. Trip sites also have included Taize, France.
