As a Christian community, we look for opportunities to gather together in fellowship.

Some people think the word "Presbyterian" must have something with meals.  That's understandable, because we like to eat together! An average of once a month or so, the congregation has meals together.  Some are covered-dish affairs, some are prepared by the Fellowship Committee; some are catered.  The meal may be lunch or supper.  Programs may or may not be included.  Check the calendar for meal schedules. Come hungry!

Several times a year, members of the congregation are invited to retreat opportunities.  On the weekend following Memorial Day, the church sponsors a whitewater-rafting retreat in West Virginia.  Members gather for fellowship on Friday, raft on Saturday, and worship on Sunday -- all in the glory of God's wonderful creation of nature.

In 2004, the church revived its annual congregational retreat. More than 100 members spent the weekend in Black Mountain for worship and fellowship.

In early December, members have an opportunity to head to the mountains of North Carolina for a two-day retreat to cut Christmas trees.  This retreat is particularly family-oriented.

The Fourth Thursday group meets every month on ...  well, you can figure that out.  Although most members of the group are retirees, the meetings and events are open to everyone.  The monthly meeting includes lunch and programs that are guaranteed to leave smiles on participants' faces.  In addition, Fourth Thursday sponsors tours to vacation destinations as well as several day tours during the year.

Our Family Life Center, completed in 2001, offers various recreational opportunities.  Members can participate in a church basketball league, with games in the center.  The center also is open at various hours for open recreation.
